Look at the cute little card and flower arrangement I made my boyf for when he came round from surgery.
I picked the flowers myself, wild flowers are prettier in France :)

I try pretty hard to be anonymous on here, and it's where I get all of my trans stuff out so I don't bore everyone I know in real life about it on a daily basis. If you have an inkling that you might know me in real life I would really appreciate that you don't read this blog, or contact me before hand to check if I'd be ok with it.
My blog is mostly made up of trans related stuff, random late night drunken updates, total over-sharing of my life, the odd bit of food p0rn and the occasional re-blog of something I find interesting.
I also post about my love for my cheeeap-ass surgeon (£2000 wtf!) and pictures of my chest so don't follow me if you don't want to see that. You can read everything I wrote about surgery and see all of my pictures here.
I am super into trans health care and supporting other people medically. I think self-medicating can be a radical act and it's empowering to take control of your own health care. It pisses me off that cisgender people are the gate-keepers to potentially life saving health care for trans people. Inbox me if you you want advice on self-medicating.
I always welcome call-outs.

So today when my boyf was in the operating theatre and the surgeon was marking up his chest, he got out his iPhone and used a spirit level app to make sure the nipple placement was level
What is this surgery of the future??!!
Torso comparison from 4 months of HRT to now, around 16 months of HRT (and a fair amount of working out!)
I had top surgery about 3 weeks after I started HRT.
Slowly but surely achieving the body I need.
Because there’s clearly not been enough nudity on this blog recently
Think I am making some progress on my destroy hip fat build muscle plan
Oh yeah and approx 15 months post op
If a trans guy is happy with his top surgery results, that’s what matters, but I have seen some awful results. I saved the photos so I know exactly what I don’t want, and I won’t share them because I don’t want to hurt the feelings of the people, but some of the results are just fucking horrible. Huge gash looking scars, dog ears, and nipples halfway down their torso. There are so many shitty surgeons. I would rather pay a lot of money for results I will be happy with, instead of paying a cheap price for a hacked up job.
I agree in that there are some surgeons out there doing some fucking awful work, and most of the stuff I’m talking about the patient has been super pissed off about it too.
I would just like to add that cheap =/= bad, expensive =/= good. I went to pretty much the cheapest surgeon I could find (who luckily I really liked the work of) because I was fucking desperate and I just wanted them gone. I think I got a really good result that I’m pretty damn happy with. And everyone who has seen my chest thinks it’s really good too.
I could have paid 3 times the amount and gone to the at the time most re-nowned surgeon in the UK and ended up with a really shitty job. So many people have been complaining about his work and what he left them with, it’s just utterly shocking. (Yes I am talking about Dai Davies, I think he’s a total tool)
We are totes making a mini documentary of Danny’s surgery. Hoping that Nuffield Hospital are not fed up of all our filming and will let us get a bit of footage in 2 weeks at his post-op appointment.
It’s my house mates surgery, it’s super exciting.
SNIP SNIP SNIP
I have made two litres of gazpacho (a cold spanish soup) for the train ride home. Got to load him full of vitamins to keep those nipples attached!
There’s gonna be two of them recovering from surgery here! My house mate has his on Monday and my pal who I was with in Canada is coming tomorrow to stay for a bit. Their surgeries will have been 2 weeks apart.
MISO SOUP FOR EVERYONE
Nutrition is super important when recovery from any surgery. I think part of the reason my healing went so smoothly when I was recovering from top surgery was because I ate so well . I am looking after a friend who has just surgery and this is the meal plan I’ve got him on:
Breakfast
Oats with fruit and seeds

Healing ingredients
Oats - to help clean out your colon
Apple - a pectin rich food which will flush the toxins out your body
Blueberries - fresh fruit to up your vitamin intake
Sunflower seeds - protein rich food which will aid in wound healing, strengthening the immune system and supporting the vital organs
Almond milk - another protein rich food
Lunch
Miso soup with brown rice and tofu

Healing ingredients
Miso - will help boost immune system. It’s also a fermented food full of pro-biotics which will help if you are taking antibiotics and prone to infections
Brown rice - a whole grain to help clear out your colon
Tofu - another protein rich food
Mushrooms - help to boost the immune system
Onion - an anti inflammatory (will help to reduce swelling)
Garlic - an anti inflammatory
Ginger - an anti inflammatory
Evening Meal
Carrot and bean soup

He’s also been having plenty of orange juice and spinach throughout the day to cram in some extra vitamins!
I also wrote this post a while ago with a longer list of foods that are good post surgery
haha what a title. But there is some pretty interesting info about Dr. McLean under the cut so you should read yo
I’m a total trans surgeon fan boy
I did this to my house mates fag packet today in hope that it will encourage him to try harder to quit smoking before his surgery, which is less than a month away now!
Everyone in the house laughed, but he’s still smoking :(
